As a team, we focus on the autism awareness - autism acceptance - autism
inclusion factor for each fundraising event and how can we touch more people in our
communities to bring even more awareness to action. This is how you make a
difference. This is how you bring people to ask questions and be
knowledgeable of the social queues.

So – why are we doing
all of this? Who is Olivia anyways? Why do we fundraise and advocate for autism
awareness? Olivia is our why, and the 1 in 36 people under 21 living in the US
who are on the autism spectrum, making it the fastest-growing developmental
disorder.
In July 2020 (when
Olivia was 2 years old), the Talley family’s lives changed forever, when Olivia
was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder + Developmental Speech Delay at CHOP. Because of the wide range of symptoms and severity,
Olivia is now 1 in 36.
As a team, we spread
autism awareness and acceptance by advocating, taking action, and promoting
inclusion for the daily struggles out of their control like Olivia. By doing
so, we gain strength to help other families that are impacted by autism, and
our community is knowledgeable of the daily social struggles someone with ASD
has, so they can be aware of the queues, allow extra patience where needed and
avoid common triggers.
The Eagles Autism
Foundation helps us create that voice for Olivia to process the world around
her and be exactly who she is, all in her own way!
Together, we are making
a difference for not only our girl Olivia, but for the autism community. We
are shifting the stigma; we are creating inclusion, and we are bringing autism
awareness to action!
