We’re Sydney, James, Michael and Jamie—a small-town Idaho family powered by love, food, special interests and a completely reasonable amount of chaos.

Sydney and James are veterans, chefs and the owners of TWN Flames, a chef-driven food truck known for bold Asian-fusion food, questionable menu names and our motto: Flame Fed Chaos. Michael and Jamie are the heart of everything behind it—and bring enough personality to staff an entirely separate truck.

Michael is funny, analytical, wildly curious and gloriously committed to whatever world currently has his attention. Right now, that means Godzilla, kaijus and the Backrooms. He is growing, learning and thriving as an autistic kid, and this team was built to celebrate him while supporting research and care that can make a meaningful difference for autistic people and their families.

Jamie is Michael’s full-speed little brother, built-in teammate and the most dyed-in-the-wool Birds fan in a family full of Birds fans—just like his dad, the family’s OG Birds fan. Jamie is that fan—the one they grease the light poles for. Philadelphia has been warned.

In 2027, the four of us are heading to Philadelphia to participate in the Eagles Autism Challenge 5K as TWN Flames: The Kaiju Special.

TWN Flames will be the driving force behind our $5,000 fundraising goal. Our pork katsu sandwich—formerly known as The Side Piece and already called “the Zilla” by Mikey—has officially become The Kaiju Special, with $1 from every sandwich sold going directly toward our team’s fundraising goal.

We’re no-clipping to Philly—one family, one giant mission and a whole lot of flame-fed chaos.
